Greetings from the Tamar Center!
We want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support of the Tamar Vocational and Life Training program this year.
Yesterday, Friday, July 3rd, we hosted our official opening ceremony! As you can see in the photos, we had a wonderful time launching this new season and celebrating together with our team and participants.
A New Beginning for Six Women
This year, six women from the bars of Pattaya have stepped out to join our training program. Over the next three months, they will dive into intensive vocational training in their chosen fields, alongside dedicated counseling, trauma therapy, and essential life skills training. While it will undoubtedly be an intense season for them, we are full of anticipation and trust that this time will be truly life-changing.
Overcoming Rain for a Great Day Out
Today, July 4th, we set out for a community day to get to know one another better and enjoy some quality fellowship. While we had originally planned a scenic hiking tour and a trip to a waterfall, the morning brought heavy rain. We quickly pivoted and took everyone to the local mall instead—and we still had an absolutely fantastic time together!
Looking Ahead
Thank you for making this training possible through your generosity. This coming week, a visiting team from the US will be helping us with additional outreach efforts. We are hopeful and praying that we might find one or two more women who are ready to join us for this cycle.
Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages over the coming days for daily pictures and updates from the training!
With deep gratitude,
The Tamar Center Team
