It's back-to-school season and our horses are getting ready too! At Equine Assisted Therapies of South Florida, we're excited to launch our Tack to School fundraiser, helping our four-legged teammates gear up with safe, updated equipment for a new season of participants!
Participant safety is always our top priority. That's why, in line with the latest guidelines from the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and United States Pony Clubs (USPC), we're phasing out traditional peacock stirrups, which pose a potential risk of injury. In their place, we're introducing modern adaptive safety stirrups designed to meet today's highest safety standards and offer a more secure riding experience for all our therapeutic riding participants.
With your support, we can ensure every horse and participant is ready for a successful season. Each donation helps a horse in our herd: $50 provides one set of adaptive safety stirrups or a new barn halter for unmounted lessons, $100 provides one set of stirrups and leathers, $125 provides one set of stirrups and leathers plus tack cleaner, and $130 supplies a Hippotherapy Pack for Zander's new role at EATSF!
Your support today goes far beyond a single season. By upgrading our stirrups and stirrup leathers, we're creating a safer equestrian environment that benefits every participant, both now and in the future. These upgrades will help us reduce the risk of injury during sessions, extend the lifespan of our equipment and better support the unique needs of our participants.
