The project will involve youth in peace-building through promoting tolerance for cultural and religious diversity within our schools. The project will provide an opportunity for youth to question their beliefs of ethnicity and religion through dialogue, fashion shows, and conflict resolution training. Diversity is part and parcel of today's global society and this project will help youth appreciate and respect cultural and religious diversity.
Youth in Kenya have been victims of exclusion in peace-building and conflict management processes. More than 60% of the country's population is made up of youth but older people with many years of experience in conflict resolution and management, usurped all opportunities for peace-building in the country's culturally rich and diverse community. When Kenya nearly disintegrated into civil war in 2007, the perpetrators of violent activities were mostly youthful Kenyans.

When young people understand and accept cultural and religious diversity, they will be more tolerant of their differences and they will shed negative cultural stereotypes and discover how their differences can make them stronger. Diversity creates curiosity and it can drive innovation among young people towards more beneficial economic activities away from cultural and religious intolerance.
