As expected it was difficult to raise funding for this project. In Namibia sodomy is still illegal and gay relationships are still stigmatised against. Therefore we can't really raise much funds internally. We were careful advertising for this micro-project on social media. As a result, we did not raise much funding.
The little funding we did raise though was very useful. We did indeed produce our short film and thanks to the additional funding we could pay for a some venues and make it a little better that what it would have been otherwise. We couldn't really do everything we wanted to, but we indeed could improve on the quality of the production a little and we are proud of it.
Our short film will be titled 'Kapana'. We hope to complete it by May next year. Watch our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OYOtrust to keep updated with progress. More information will be release around April/June 2020.
