The LA Conservation Corps currently provides employment and green internship opportunities to at risk young adults, 18-24 years old. Internships offer young adults employment experience in the career pathways. This microproject will provide funding to create new career pathway internships in the fields of medicine, business, engineering, education, childcare, and more. Participants will join a 3 month internship with a business or non-profit and gain customer service and entrepreneurial skills.
Joblessness and underemployed among at-risk, 18-24 year olds can be alleviated through career pathway internships.
