Planning for Summer Arts Camp 2015
We are already beginning to plan for Summer Arts Camp 2015. Our funding challenges gave us some insights in to how to do more with less. The great success of our 2014 Camp makes us determined to move forward with a similar program for 2015. Here is an update you on the Summer Arts Camp.
2014 Camp session remains under funded . We used general operating funds to make up the deficits, but it is our great hope that we can complete the 2014 Camp funding and start to work on our 2015 Camp funding. Our 2014 Camp expenses totaled $ 4430. While a lot of money, it broke down to an expenditure of just $ 44.30 per student for an entire 6 week period fo time, which computes to just $ 1.27 per day per camper. We had more than 100 campers who participated.
Consider this: $ 1.27 per day for an experience that offers fun, friendship, builds life skills of discipline and adventure. Campers learned to step outside their comfort zone to experience and learn music, art, history and tolerance for other with disabilities.
We hope that you will join with us to retire this deficit so that we can begin to raise the funds for a fun filled 2015 Summer Arts Camp.
