After a successful campaign to raise money to enable the children at all our partner projects to enjoy an end of year / Christmas party, I would like to thank everyone who donated to this project. We are so grateful for all your donations to Hands Around The World. Of the total raised, £1000 has gone towards the parties for the children and the extra has contributed to the successful continuation of the projects in 2019.
Our partner projects; Pizz School and Kaliyangile Vocational Training Centre in Zambia, Chez Papa Geoff orphanage in Benin, Pauloc Carpentry Workshop and the Disability Community Centre in Kenya, the New Life Centre in India and Bugarama schools in Rwanda all held Christmas or end of year parties over the festive period. These celebrations all went very well and we received lovely reports from our partners overseas. The children enjoyed a special meal as well as singing, dancing and games. The food differed between the projects with some having a barbeque or brai and others having more staple food like Nshima. The children got to relax and enjoy themselves with many celebrating the end of the school year and for some the move onto higher levels of education. This meant that these parties were a great opportunity to reward all of the children for the amazing work they have done over the last year.
Once again I would like to thank all of you for your generous donations and for giving the children a day to remember!
