Help bring 4 Zambian woman-led social entrepreneurs to attend trade+impact and access the global market! trade+impact is a ground breaking summit & trade show to fuel business growth for women social entrepreneurs in the craft/textile and natural skincare sectors; two of the top employers for women in the region. By attending they will have the opportunity to meet and sell to international and regional buyers, further increasing their already substantial impact in their countries.
Hundreds of women participate in the artisan and natural skincare sectors, in Zambia alone. For many, their livelihood depends on income from these activities and often they're women-led. The depth and scope of the impact of these women-led social enterprises is significant; they positively impact their employees, their communities and the environment. However reaching new markets and accessing financing is a major challenge, their impact is limited by their ability to grow their business.
trade+impact has been created to provide a ground-breaking summit and trade expo for increased trade, investment and skills development necessary to increase the impact of women-led social enterprises in their communities and beyond. Attending will introduce them to buyers, social impact investors and offer skills training programs necessary to enable their growth. The platform also offers connection with similar enterprises all over Africa+Middle East for networking and learning.
trade+impact will lead to increased trade and business growth which will drive greater social impact in the form of increased wages, rural employment, education, healthcare and environmental sustainability. trade+impact offers a platform to address the challenges businesses face such as access to markets, finance and skills development. We have estimated 150 social enterprises participating from 25 different countries, employing hundreds of thousands with an average of 8 dependents each.
