Dear Friend's Namaste!
Warm Greeting from RSKS India
It is well known that food, cloth and shelter are the basic requirements of everyone, but the little children at roadside don't have food to have and cloth to wear which compel them to live their lives in poverty. We very well know Diwali is the festival of light and joy, but it just becomes a fantasy to celebrate it for such poor children who don't have any shelter and food to have. While the entire world is celebrating the festival, these poor children only have hope that someone comes to help them and enlighten their lives with the light of happiness.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of Global Giving Foundation, brought smile to the faces of such children by providing help to 45 poor children living the roadside at Parbatpura bye-pass and Nagra slum, Ajmer. The organisation's volunteers distributed new dresses, shoes and slippers, packets of delicious food, sweets, firecrackers and other stuffs to these street children on the occassion of Diwali. All children wore the new clothes, had sweets and then played with firecrackers. All children were on the sky high which can't be expressed in words.
Laxmi, one of them, 13 years old girl has conversation with the volunteers.
Laxmi told that she was hungry for last two days. She lives at slum with her mother and has lost her father last year because of habitual consumption of liquor. That day she also had fever so the volunteers provide her first aid. She was so happy as she had delicious food, Gifts, sweet, new dress (Anarkali suit) and got satiated after a long time. She was also had interest in study but the poverty and lack of required stuffs didn't let her to study. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has got her admission in a nearby school and borne all the expenditure. Now, Laxmi is happy and getting education which helps her to make her dreams true. She greatly thanks Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and Global Giving Foundation. Now, Laxmi has a hope to make his future bright, also she will be able to help such children just like Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is supporting her. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalayan Sansthan and Global Giving Foundation wish Laxmi to be educated and achieve her goal and get succeed in life.
