We highly appreciate everyone who has donated to our social project - Social Brasilis, through the Global Giving platform. Even though we did not meet our fundraising goal, every single cent raised matters a lot of us. Social Brasilis’ mission is to revolutionize the current educational curricula and conjure up a new methodology for education in public schools in Pirambu Favela in Fortaleza, with 17,775 citizens. If you don’t know what a favela is. Basically, it is a slum within urban areas. We aim to create a free and safe place for young students to discover their talents, find their dreams and promote social transformations in their own community. In order to accomplish this, your donation is crucial. We will use the money raised to develop and teach new classes, which are lessons designed to help these young students in Pirambu Favela develop skills and abilities. Lessons will be taught through games, sharing stories and recreational activities. Proper education is only the beginning, but it’s essential to them in order to break the cycle of poverty and our mission is to provide them with that sparkle.
