This project is inviting compassionate donors to share their Zakat al-Fitr in 2026 with vulnerable families in Suleja, Niger State and IDPs Camps. Many low-income households struggle to afford basic food for the Eid celebration. Through this initiative, we will distribute essential food items and Zakat support to widows, displaced families, and the elderly. Your Zakat will ensure that struggling families can break their fast, celebrate Eid with dignity, and experience the joy of community care.
In Suleja, many families face severe hardship due to rising food prices, unemployment, and displacement from nearby conflict-affected communities. For these households, preparing meals for Eid is often impossible. Children, widows, and elderly people are among the most affected. Without support, many families will observe Eid without food or the means to celebrate, deepening their sense of exclusion and hardship.
This project will collect Zakat al-Fitr donations and distribute food packs and essential items to vulnerable families in Suleja before Eid. Each household will receive staple foods such as rice, beans, garri, and cooking oil. Community volunteers will identify the most vulnerable beneficiaries and ensure transparent distribution so families in need can celebrate Eid with food and dignity.
Our long-term goal is to build a stronger support network for vulnerable families in Suleja. While Zakat al-Fitr provides immediate relief during Eid, we aim to expand year-round programs that address food insecurity, livelihood training, and community support. By combining charitable giving with empowerment initiatives, we seek to help families move from dependence to sustainable self-reliance.
