Sensory equipment for disabled children in Moldova

Sensory equipment for disabled children in Moldova

Project Report | Feb 17, 2026
Thank you for your support for disabled children

By Sarah Gale | Project support

We would like to thank all of you who donated to help us buy equipment for the disabled children we support.  Many of you donated on Giving Tuesday, which helped us win a bonus from the GlobalGiving incentive pot.

We have put in an order for equipment, although sadly it has not yet arrived.  We will of course report on how it is used when we get the chance.  You will be able to see those reports by visiting our main project page in due course.

What we can tell you is that we have ordered

  • two light boxes
  • two bubble tubes
  • 8 balance disks
  • a rocking balance board
  • a set of sensory mats
  • 4 sets of busy books
  • An activity wall panel
  • 6 sets of sorting toys
  • wipe-clean reusable worksheets for teaching handwriting
  • worksheets and an educational game for autistic pupils

These will help develop coordination and hand skills, provide calming activities when pupils are overwhelmed or need to move, and will help pupils explore and learn using all their senses.  Thank you on behalf of all our children, our therapists and teachers.
