We don't know very much about Isaac's past. He's around 7 but he doesn't know what year he was born. After the earthquake, a woman asked a member of the orphanage staff to watch him for a few hours so she could go to the market, and she never returned. Isaac took a while to settle into the orphanage, but now he has lots of friends! Isaac had never been to school before arriving at the orphanage. With your help, we'll be able to provide him with the education he needs to build a secure future.
As an orphan, Isaac is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There are no free schools in Port au Prince available, so the orphanage must employ its own teachers and run its own school. Lack of education locks kids like Isaac into a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only helps Isaac, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.
Isaac has lived his whole life in poverty. He needs a quality education to find a prosperous future. Your donations will give him that education and set him on the road to a brighter tomorrow.
Access to education will give Isaac the skills he needs to find a stable job and escape poverty when he's older.
