By Julie Hutchison | President, Co-Founder and Chelsea's Mother
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for contributing to a "Seizure-Response Dog for Tristen". I am happy to report that Sam is fully-trained and is working hard for Tristen. The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation provided a grant to help make this happen and without your help and others like you, this would not be possible.
Tristen's family reports that Sam is a huge asset to their family in a effort to keep Tristen safe. Tristen also has a serious heart condition thats ongoing which makes him at a high risk of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Sam allows Tristen a little more independence and gives his family a little more peace knowing Sam is with him always.
To date, The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation has provided 55 grants for seizure-response dogs across the United States. By donating to this project, you have helped us grant comfort and hope to Tristen and his family.
