By Julie Hutchison | President, Co-Founder and Chelsea's Mother
Thank you so much for donating to a "Seizure-Response Dog for Devin".
While Zoe is still in training for Devin, they have had many opportunities to be together and begin that bonding process. Recently they walked together at Chelsea's Epilepsy Walk for SUDEP Awareness in Winchester, VA. Zoe is expected to be in training through June of 2014.
Zoe is being trained to recognize the onset of seizures and respond by hitting an alarm to notify caregivers. She is also being trained to stay with Devin during the seizure and can retrieve emergency medicine on command.
Thank you just doesn't seem to say enough. Because of you and others like you, The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation has had the privilege of granting 55 seizure-response dog grants for individuals across the United States. By donating to this project, you have made a difference in a young man's life, while bringing some much needed comfort to Devin's family!
