Last time Sebastian visit Mahavir Kmina was in 2015 when he was 8 years old. For then, he had received 4 low limb prostheses for his amputee leg.
This little blond boy lost his leg because of a cardiovascular malformation that was not diagnosed at the right time. Thus, the organs from his body did not get enough oxygen and some of them started to die, like his left leg that was amputated.
The health provider refused to donate a prostheses leg for a 10 month old baby. Fortunately, when Sebastian was 5 years old, he came to Mahavir Kmina and the adventure of his life begun.
Nevertheless, as any other kid, he still was going to grow up some more inches. But in our corporation this was not an issue. Every time that her prostheses leg did not fit, he came and we made a new one. This was possible thanks to the people who have believed in us and help this kids to keep walking. Your donations made Sebastian´s dreams a reality.
However, we received his mother´s call asking for our help because his prostheses did not fit anymore. That is when we decided to make him a micro project in GlobalGiving and ask for your help.
We want to thank to those who helped Sebastian with his new artificial leg, unfortunately, it was not possible to collect the entire donation that a prostheses cost.
Despite this situation, we gathered other donations from other sources created and that way we got the donations remaining to make him a new prostheses.
Today Sebastian is 10 years old and with a low limb prostheses he can do as many things as he want, even more than his neighbors. We invite you to believe in our kids and help them make their disability their biggest ability.
