Thank you again for your donation, which has allowed Somaya the chance to attend school. The scholarships have now been awarded. Somaya is 12 years old and is attending a private school in Herat Province. Her father is a farmer and without this scholarship there would be no way for her family to afford to send her to school.
The person who awarded the scholarships to the girls reports, “The students who were given the scholarships come from poor families. Many of them have lost their parents and they need to work part time to help support their families. When they received the scholarship, they were so happy that their eyes got wet with tears. It was incredible for them.”
One of the girls who received a scholarship said, “ I am so thankful for this scholarship. This opportunity will change my life. I am going to help my family and my community.”

Thank you for supporting Creating Hope International’s microproject to fund a scholarship for an Afghan girl. This scholarship will allow the girl to attend a private school, have a uniform, receive books, and receive a high quality education. This scholarship has the power to change the course of one girl’s life.
Schools in Afghanistan are currently out of session and will begin again in April. The scholarships that Creating Hope has been able to fund will be distributed in April to deserving recipients. Once the scholarships have been awarded, Creating Hope International will report back with more information about the students.
