Micro Project Completion Report- Thank you

By Joseph Anthony Chukka | Project Leader

Dear Donors and Friends,

Namaste

Greetings from BASS, India.

We are deeply grateful for your generous donations to our micro project “Sheltering and Shielding 100 Vulnerable Families”. Your support means a lot to us and the people we serve.

This micro project aimed to provide safe and secure tarpaulin sheets to 100 families who lost their huts due to heavy rains and floods in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The project had a fundraising goal of $3,800 USD, which would cover the cost of 100 tarpaulin sheets, transportation, and installation.

Unfortunately, the project only raised $276 USD from 7 donors. We appreciate every single donation, no matter how big or small. However, due to the lack of funds, we were only able to provide tarpaulin sheets to 12 families, who were selected based on their vulnerability and need in remote slum in Guntur.

The project purchased 12 tarpaulin sheets from a local supplier, who offered a discounted price of $18 USD per sheet. The project also arranged for the transportation and installation of the tarpaulin sheets, with the help of BASS staff and volunteers. The project successfully completed the distribution of the tarpaulin sheets.

The project had a positive impact on the lives of the 12 beneficiary families, who expressed their gratitude and satisfaction. The tarpaulin sheets provided them with a temporary shelter, protection from rain and sun, and privacy. The tarpaulin sheets also improved their health and hygiene, as they prevented waterlogging, dampness, and insect infestation. The tarpaulin sheets also enhanced their dignity and self-esteem, as they felt more secure and comfortable.

The project was sustainable in terms of its environmental, social, and economic aspects. The project used tarpaulin sheets, which are made from recyclable and biodegradable materials, and do not cause any harm to the environment. The project also involved the beneficiary families and communities in the project implementation, and ensured their ownership and participation.

We are thankful for your support and we hope you will continue to support our cause. We have launched a new micro project to provide bicycles to the slum children, which will help them access education, health, and livelihood opportunities.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

With gratitude
