During 2026 Ramadan, many vulnerable families in Mararaba and her environs will struggle to access sufficient food item to perform Iftar. This project will provide nutritious food packs to low-income Muslim households, ensuring they can observe fasting with dignity. By supporting 50 families, we aim to reduce hunger, strengthen community solidarity, and spread hope and compassion in this holy month.
Low-income Muslim households in Mararaba face food insecurity, especially during Ramadan when meal needs increase. Many families cannot afford suhoor and iftar meals, leading to hunger, stress, and weakened health. Without intervention, vulnerable families risk missing essential nourishment during this sacred time of fasting, prayer, and community.
We will distribute food packs and ready-to-eat meals to 50 vulnerable Muslim families in Mararaba during 2026 Ramadan. Each pack will include rice, beans, oil, sugar, dates, and other staples for daily suhoor and iftar meals. Volunteers from the community will help with safe distribution and ensure families receive support respectfully and efficiently.
Beyond Ramadan, this initiative will strengthen social solidarity, inspire charitable giving, and create a culture of caring for vulnerable families in Mararaba. It will build community trust, encourage youth and volunteer engagement, and highlight the importance of food security, especially during religious and cultural observances.
