By Ikechukwu Kelechukwu | Project Lead
We are pleased to officially launch our 2026 Ramadan Food Support micro-project focused on vulnerable Muslim families in Mararaba and surrounding communities.
As Ramadan approaches, our team has completed initial community assessments and identified 50 low-income households that struggle to afford daily suhoor and iftar meals during the fasting period. These families include widows, elderly caregivers, households with many children, and informal workers whose income declines during Ramadan.
This project aims to restore dignity and relief by providing nutritious food packs containing essential staples such as rice, beans, cooking oil, sugar, dates, and other basic items needed for daily meals throughout Ramadan.

This project is about more than food, it is about compassion, dignity, and community solidarity during a sacred time. We are grateful to everyone who supports or shares this initiative and helps ensure families can observe Ramadan without hunger.
Thank you for standing with vulnerable families in Mararaba.

Start a FundraiserEvery microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Feed Vulnerable Families During Ramadan in Nigeria. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
