GlobalGiving 2021 Microproject ReportPterocarpus Forest GivingTuesday, November 30, 2021
Our campaign “Pterocarpus Forest GivingTuesday 2021” raised a total of $7,682, of which $3,371 came through GlobalGiving. The total amount was slightly more than the amount raised last year.
21 donors, 8 of whom used the GlobalGiving platform, made donations which averaged $366, a significant amount per person (possibly more than the average #GivingTuesday donation in U.S. in 2021).
The #GivingTuesdayPR 2021funds will be used to create the Pterocarpus Forest Conservation Fund which will be the beginning of an Endowment Fund through which the Forest’s on-site, on-line and social media educational and community-oriented initiatives and fundraising will be supported in perpetuity. The Forest hopes to count on the Palmas Homeowners’ Association to cover insurance and maintenance costs in the future, as it has done for the past 10+ years.
