This project will provide underprivileged children with tablets, giving them access to remote schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project will also install a computer lab and wifi at the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre, allowing the children to work on school projects and access the internet. Your help is needed so that the children can stay connected with their educators, their psychologist, and their friends.
The children enrolled in the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre's education and nutrition support programs are required to do online schooling in 2021 due to COVID-19. Children without access to virtual education due to a lack of internet access and devices at home are at risk of falling behind, becoming disengaged and dropping out. With education and psychological support programs moving online, it is crucial that all children have access to the internet and the support they need.
Providing each family with a tablet will grant the children and their families access to online learning and psychological support. The Help Bolivia Foundation has supplied 20 tablets so far. Your support will purchase 18 desperately needed tablets for the remaining children and families, as well as provide a computer lab and wifi access at the Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre for their use.
By providing access to online education and support, the children will stay connected with their educators and can keep up with assignments and learning in general. Staying connected and engaged will reduce the student drop-out rate and the risk of falling far behind on their academic potential. Further, the children will have continued access to their psychologist.
