This project was established to teach Khmer (the native language of Cambodia) to children who struggle at public school in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Our Khmer language classes are still going strong. Our morning class has 12nstudents and our afternoon class has 18 students. In addition to learning how to read and write in Khmer, they have also begun learning about multiplication in mathematics.
We are initiating student report cards so their parents can be involved in their education and hopefully instil a sense of pride in these students who have gone from being illiterate to literate in six short months!
