Challenge

Displaced children living in camps and crisis-affected communities face malaria, diarrhoea, infections, malnutrition, and other illnesses but lack access to medical care and medicine. Their families have lost their homes and income and cannot afford treatment. Without timely care, minor illnesses can become severe, cause lasting health problems, or lead to preventable deaths.

Solution

The microproject will send medical workers to displacement camps and crisis-affected communities to examine 250 children, conduct basic tests, diagnose illnesses, and provide free treatment and medicine. Children with severe conditions will be referred to hospitals for further care, while parents and caregivers will receive guidance on hygiene, nutrition, and preventing common childhood illnesses.

Long-Term Impact

Early treatment will reduce preventable illness, disability, and death among displaced children. Healthier children will be more likely to attend school, play, grow, and recover from the effects of displacement. The project will also reduce medical costs for struggling families and connect children with serious conditions to hospitals for continued care.
