Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your support of our efforts to give young Afghans access to high quality education.
We are grateful for the support we have received for our projects funding scholarships for K-12 students. In addition, we have been able to provide support to 8 university students in Kabul and 15 university students in Herat. The 23 students include 7 young men and 16 young women. These students are pursuing a variety of majors including Law & Political Science, Dentistry, Dari & English Literature, Economy & Management, Radiology, Religion, Mining & Geology, History, Nursing and Computer Science. These students are some of the top students in their classes and are part of the generation of smart, well- educated young people who will make Afghanistan a better place for all.
We often hear stories of students who start the journey of education and become inspired to learn more and aspire to a university education. Typical comments include, “My math skills were poor before I came here, now I am good and want to go to university.” Or “I did not think I could learn, but now I am interested and want to go on learning more.”
The 23 students you have supported are excited to have the opportunity to earn university degrees. Thank you again for your support of our efforts to make quality education a reality for Afghan students.
