Dear Friends,
The school year in Afghanistan is well underway and as promised, we’re writing to update you on the student who received the scholarship that you helped to fund! A young boy named Elyas is attending a private school in Herat Province, thanks to your generosity.
Elyas’ father is a writer but the family could not afford to send Elyas to school without aid. Because of your help, he is in 6th grade this school year. Above, you can see Elyas and some of his classmates who also received scholarships. In all, through Global Giving and other sources, we were able to provide 107 scholarships to students just like Elyas to study at private schools in Afghanistan this school year! We’d like to thank you once again for supporting our efforts to provide a high quality education to as many students as possible.
Thank you.
