Challenge

Hurricane Dorian has killed many, destroyed infrastructure and left over 70,000 homeless. With no way to cook food, create potable water or even stay connected with the outside world families are in crisis.

Solution

This microproject will enable survivors to become self sufficient at cooking meals and creating safe drinking water.

Long-Term Impact

Meeting hygiene need is essential for clean, healthy and prosperous lives, and creates a sense of dignity in those we serve. As hygiene needs are met, survivors can focus on other immediate needs; including locating shelter or fixing their damaged homes. Long term, meeting this need enables recipients to pursue a higher quality of life and remove themselves and future generations from the vicious cycle of poverty.
