Thanks to you we raised over $600, which assited us in traveling to South Dakota to the Lakota National Pow Wow where we had the opportunity to educate hundreds of native American Children, parents, aunties and uncles and grand parents about online exploitation, how to talk with their familiy members and community.
We partnered with Pathfinder, a long-term program for trafficking survivors, at the event.
The funds went to providing specific materials and information for this conference and the develpment of additional materials to be used with tribal nations educational programs we plan to deliver in 2023.
While in South Dakota we connected with the Lakota National Education Program team and they invited us out to participate in the Lakota National Educational Conference to educate teachers on what to look for in the classroom. Sadly, due to the winter storm, we were unable to attend, however, we'll be back out there in 2023.
As part of the conference, we participated in the MMIW walk to rasie awareness about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women in South Dakota and around the nation.
We will continue our work with children from all over the country to educate, empower and prevent children and families from experiencing exploitation.
Thank you again for your support we are gratful for you and your stand to end exploitation.
Together we can disrupt the cycle of exploitation!
