Please help Karma come home with Sheila

A microproject by Pathways to Safety International
Please help Karma come home with Sheila

Summary

Karma is Sheila's beloved dog. Karma moved with Sheila and her husband to Switzerland last year. Sheila's husband has become more and more abusive to her and Karma. Recently when her abusive husband attacked her, Karma bit him. In return he forced Karma in a room by herself for two days without food or water. With this project we will be able to get Karma a vet certificate, a crate and fly her home with Sheila for a discounted rate we already negotiated with an airline.

Challenge

American women like Sheila that want to return to the USA to flee abuse with pets don't have the financial resources to do so. This project will ensure Karma returns to the USA with Sheila.

Solution

Sheila will return to the USA with Karma and live in an efficiency apartment attached to a friends house until she gets back on her feet. They will be free of abuse.

Long-Term Impact

We will provide services to 150 American victims with pets in approximately 50 countries while they are fleeing violence. Our goal is to have all of them reach safety with their pets and live their lives without violence in their homes.
