This project was to be able to provide shelters to displaced people from 2 of the villages we are supporting.
The funds collected were not enough to buy tents, but only some plastic sheets which villagers could use to cover some made up shelters.
Fortunatly, we were able to get 35 tents via UNHCR Burkina. Those tents will be delivered and installed shortly in the village of Tolotama where a majority of the displaced families took refuge. Also the UNHCR provided 0ver 200 start uu kits: mats, cooking pans, mosquito nets...
In addition we have been able to find funds for a water well to cope with the increase population in Tolotama, 25 family latrines.
We also have found funds to provide menstruation awareness meetings and provide 400 washable kits of protection for the displaced women but also for the women and girls of Tolotama.
We will also provide books to the primamry school of Tolotama which has seen a large input from the displaced children.
