Our project provides daily nutritious breakfasts to 150 children in rural Cambodia, ensuring they have the energy and focus needed for their education. With just $50 a month, you can ensure 150 children in rural Cambodia start their day with a nutritious breakfast, setting them up for a day of successful learning. In Cambodia: 22 percent of children under 5 are stunted (impaired development due to malnutrition). 16 percent of households cannot afford a nutritious diet.
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world, and Siem Reap, where Helping Hands School is based, is the second poorest province in Cambodia. Villagers live in extreme poverty, children are often malnourished, poorly educated and suffer debilitating or chronic health problems. Increased food inflation is hampering our ability to Support our breakfast program. Without reliable financial support, we risk not being able to fully meet the growing demand.
In rural Cambodia, our school breakfast program addresses the critical issues of child malnutrition and hunger, ensuring children receive the essential nutrients needed for healthy growth and effective learning. It also combats food insecurity, improves school attendance, and enhances academic performance, fostering a brighter future for the community.
By supporting our project, you are investing in the future of an entire generation. Through quality nutrition, these children will have access to better learning skills, economic and social opportunities in the future. This will help breaking the cycle of poverty and contributing to the sustainable development of their community and country. We assure you that your generosity will have a lasting impact on these children.
