Day 2
August 8
Today, the 40 teachers contiued their training with Dr. Isis Nassif, one of the star Not Guilty trainers, a professional councelor and trauma therapist. Today, she is teaching them on getting in touch with their feelings and dealing with anger; how to disagree elegantly with others. One of the teachers claimed he is willing to kill if someone made him angry.
During the break, that very teacher had a meeting with Isis and burst out crying. He said that this is the first time he ever cries in front of anyone. He said he felt he disappointed his daughter because she failed her high school tests. He felt he was a bad father, that he did not care enough, that inspite of paying for her to get private lessons she still failed. Isis dealt with the sitation professionally acknowledging that he had a right to his feelings of sadness and counceled him during the break.
Tomorrow, we start the trainings in 10 government schools; we start with primary schools and 100 kids from third to sixth primary ages 7-10.
But why did those students feel they were princes and princesses? Wait for us tomorrow.
