Rescue Junction is at the very forefront of child protection in Gaya District with its ground-breaking work concerning child trafficking and exploitation. With its 24 hour centre and 24 hour helpline for children or those who need to report possible child abuse our expert staff have helped 2,500 children over the past year. We need to establish a specialist investigative team of three people to compliment the work already going on at RJ regarding the sexual and labour exploitation of children.
We want to make it more difficult for those who would traffic or abuse children to operate with "protection" or impunity and hold them accountable for their actions and help bring legal proceedings against them in cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
The Team will educate the public and look at ways with law enforcement agencies we can identify and prevent child trafficking. It will work with the Justice system in fast trafficking the courts for offender's charged with sexual and other offences against children. It will launch more raids on hotels and factories, brothels and anywhere where children might be at risk. Work with the government in establishing a data base of known offenders. Investigate and report to Police and follow up cases.
It is the aim of the trust to engage with the police, railway authorities, the judicial system and local government in helping to provide a child safety network in the district. This has the potential to help thousands of kids. by this project we sim to make Gaya a safer place for all children
