New clothes on Eid for 200 children in Pakistan

Muwakhat Foundation team started a project to help homeless women and children since July 2016 with a distribution of new clothes to children age zero till twelve years on Eid-ul-fitar.( Muslim festival). It was observed that these women and children are most neglected and vulnerable group, lack basic needs and most important these families ignored and not treated as a respectable citizen of Pakistan. People help once in a while by food, dry ration, and clothes but no one did the effort to bring them in society who excluded.

Phase I: this phase was spread on three years started from July 2016 till June 2019. In this phase Muwakhat Foundation did following action

• Registered homeless families and issued card for receive help from Muwakhat Foundation
• Homeless families receiving food packages in month of Ramadan since 2016.
• On every Eid festival children receiving new clothes and food.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Need Assessment conducted with purpose of identification needs of homeless families and make three phase action plan for long lasting prosperity.
• Muwakhat Foundation started phase I, target homeless 680 families, 2900 children and almost 1800 girls and women.
• 300 families received blankets, warm clothes and bed for winter.
• 3320 food packaged given in month of Ramadan
• 890 families will go to be register for phase II and this phase spread for three years.
• Girls Education awareness meetings conducted with 2700 parents in Lahore and Kasur districts.

NEXT ACTION PLAN

Muwakhat Foundation shifting to Phase II, after successful completion of phase I for provided Food and clothes to homeless families

In Phase II homeless families receive education, food, business oppertunites, lives stock and health insurance.
