Dear Amazing Supporters,
We just wanted to say thank you. Thanks to you, we have successfully installed two rainwater catchment systems in Liberia, one at our guesthouse and one at the More Than Me Academy.
These systems were installed in time for us to benefit from rainy season, saving us valuable money by allowing for rain water collection rather than importing water. To put that into perspective, we would have had to pay $40 every two days at our guesthouse and $35/day at the MTM Academy for water. That equals $1685/month and over $20,000/year! These systems save SO MUCH money during rainy season. That means we can spend more time and money ensuring that our girls receive the best education possible.
On a water-related note, we also have an exciting partnership with Aqualife, a water company in Liberia. They have committed to providing all of our drinking water at the Academy or FREE. All. Year. Long. Now girls like Princess and Laurena won’t be at risk of drinking contaminated water during the school day.
Thank you for continually supporting our girls, giving them the opportunity to make choices for their futures. We can’t thank you enough. If you have questions or suggestions about our programs, please don't hesitate to contact us at emilyb@morethanme.org. For more updates, check out our facebook page!
For a brighter future,
The More Than Me Family
