Hello everyone,
In Fundación Proacceso, Angel's story shocked us all, and we decided to do everything we could do to help. This is why we created this microproject and helped raise awareness about cases like Angel's in which they stop attending school because of medical conditions.
To complete this report, Angel's teacher, Eduardo wrote to me saying that, thanks to the money we raised in Global Giving, the family was able to pay two biopsies and buy Angel medicine (a transfer factor and nutritional supplements). The medicine helped him keep stable and without greater dangers so he could continue to attend courses and extracurricular activities. They also bought him a pair of glasses that he really needed.
He also wrote: "I can only be thankful for your support ... I will continue to search for resources by different means to help Angel continue studying. The good news is that he went back to school".
Angel and his teacher Eduardo, reminded us of the importance of education and the real impact that our projects are creating in people's lives. Even more important than the number of people than enroll in our courses, we realized the power of transformation in caring for the people you work with and the children you teach, ¡they end up teaching you more!
This is why we wanted to share this message with more people and created a video about Angel and another one about Eduardo. Here are the links. We really hope you like it. Thank you again for being an important part in this great story.
