We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
It is often seen that women are not aware of financial issues in rural areas due to which they become victim of fraud. In the lack of awareness, such women have to bear financial loss. The innocent rural people even scare of going banks due to such financial frauds. Today, it is so important to be financial literate that enables us to make right decisions regarding financial issues.
In order to make rural women financial literate and aware, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation, organized an awareness program. The organization made people aware of financial matter through puppet shows and workshops in 10 distant villages in Pisangan block. More than 500 women participated the program directly or indirectly and get benefitted.
A play was acted in puppet shows to provide information related to financial issues to the rural women whereas in workshop the candidates got informed about financial and government schemes and advised to keep safe from fraud through phone calls. Women participants put questions in workshops and our activists answered them and made them understand easily. Women were satisfied and supported the program. One of our activists had conversation with one of the women participants at the completion of workshop and came to know her views.
Rukma is ward panch (Public representative) of the village, told that earlier there was lack of financial literacy in the village due to which someone became victim of frauds very easily. Now, rural women have become aware of financial matters through the awareness program organized by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation. Now, they will be able to keep their capital safe from frauds. Rukma thanks Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation to make innocent rural women aware of the matter.
