World Children's Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. We need your collaboration to get each of the 250 kids who benefit from our Educational Strengthening Program a proper gift to make them smile on this special occasion.
As stated by the UN, World Children's Day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children's rights. According to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, play is a fundamental right for the healthy development of girls and boys, for learning and building citizenship practices. When girls and boys play, they get to know each other and interact with other people. Many kids dont even get that chance.
We work to provide children with quality education and believe our main mission has different branches of action. Making sure childrens rights are respected is the key component of our work. For this reason, we celebrate education by complementing it with recreational activities and playtime, both essential elements that are crucial to our goal: ensuring their right to play. With this microproject, we will be able to provide 250 children with a special toy, so that they can also play at home.
By empowering over 250 children with education, we strengthen their resilience to life challenges, opening doors of opportunities for their future, improving their confidence, and inspiring hope. Improved education opportunities will ensure a better future for these children and subsequent generations. For kids, exercising their right to play is a boundless beginning on the path to quality education.
