Keep Christelle in school for a year

Thanks so much for helping to provide a year* of school for Christelle.

Christelle’s dad was forced to abandon her after Christelle’s mum left. He couldn't afford to feed Christelle or send her to school. So Christelle’s dad brought her to the HTDC orphanage who he hoped could care for her.

But with so many needs, like food, to worry about, the orphanage couldn’t provide Christelle with an education. Without an education, Christelle’s future looked bleak. Without basic literacy and numeracy, she would almost certainly have been doomed to the same life of poverty as her parents.

Yet Christelle is lucky - she has you in her life.

Your fantastic generosity will keep Christelle in school and learning the skills she needs to build a brighter tomorrow. We’re able to support Christelle because you chose to give. There are so many things you could have spent your hard earned money on, but you chose Christelle. Thanks so much.

*Note that the orphanage is home to around thirty children. Donations to this project will cover Christelle’s school costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.
