Summary

Research shows that ~20% of STEM roles are held by women & confidence in girls plummets by 45% between 11 and 15. Engaging girls in fun, creative learning is key to changing the status quo. Greenlight for girls creates GREENLIGHT for STEM programs & events to inspire 10-15-year-old girls to pursue STEM studies & careers. These hands-on, interactive events demonstrate the link between STEM & girls' interests and teach science concepts in inspiring ways that encourage girls to see their potential.

Challenge

Within the pressing global need and opportunity, we still see that women are less represented in STEM subjects, careers, and leadership, and we know that inspiring girls early and shifting their mindsets is the key to changing this ongoing challenge. Learning STEM subjects and skills (and the connection to simply everything around us) needs a rather big boost because school, or home, is not enough. That's where we come in and where we make a difference.

Solution

g4g's proven STEM+CREATIVITY method helped ~94% of the 60,000+ girls we've engaged choose to pursue STEM studies & careers. Your donations at STEMCELL Technologies will enable 500 girls to join our upcoming g4g Events in your office locations in Europe in the coming year, participate in our digital laboratory activities, and get inspired by STEM mentors. With your support, we will light up the eyes of these future STEM adventurers to show them how they can invent solutions for the future.

Long-Term Impact

With your support, girls will see themselves as the problem solvers & inventors of tomorrow. Women are less represented in STEM fields & leadership. We can overcome that problem by activating young female changemakers from low income & non-included communities to unlock their potential and discover new possibilities for themselves and the world around them. There is a huge needle we need to move -the needle of equity- and we need more women as part of the STEM equation to make that happen.
