Your generous support put DAUSA in the 'ready' position to help after the destruction left by Hurricane Laura.
Disaster Aid USA deployed several disaster relief trailers and volunteer teams to aid and assist victims suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. We had three disaster relief trailers and one rescue boat positioned in Louisiana, as well as four additional trailers in Texas, that traveled east to respond after Hurricane Laura moved through the region. Each trailer was accompanied by a team of trained Rotarians and non-Rotarian volunteers. The trailers were loaded with disaster relief equipment and tools tailored specifically to address the damage caused by this hurricane.
Thanks to you, DAUSA was able to respond quickly and begin the process of working with local emergency crews to clear debris, provide clean drinking water, and tarp roofs of homes damaged by the storm. The destruction was extensive, however, through your generosity, we were able to help thousands of people who were in need of immediate aid.
Nearly a year later, numerous residents are still dealing with the aftermath of the destruction caused by Hurricane Laura. But because of you, we were able to give them a headstart on their journey back to 'normal.'
With sincerest thanks,
Larry Agee
DAUSA Executive Director
