Thanks so much for supporting survivors like Mary Ann

By Emma Taylor | Head of Media and Marketing at IDV

Thanks for supporting survivors like Mary Ann!
Thanks for supporting survivors like Mary Ann!

We'd like to extend a very warm thank you for supporting typhoon Haiyan survivors like Mary Ann.

24 year old Mary Ann is pregnant with her 4th child. Before typhoon Haiyan she and her husband worked as rice farmers and lived in their wooden house over their fields. The typhoon destroyed the house in a matter of minutes, and she and her kids hid under a table until the storm passed.

They were lucky to survive, but now Mary Ann has no home and no livelihood to feed her kids.

Mary Ann is in a precarious situation. Like thousands of survivors, she lives in temporary shelters and, when it rains, it can be impossible for her to cook. But, thanks to you, Mary Ann has a life-line.

Because you chose to give, we'll be able to take our mobile food kitchen to survivors like Mary Ann when rain storms make cooking impossible. A hot meal keeps survivors like Mary Ann and her family healthy while also letting them know that the world hasn't forgotten them. Thanks so much!

If you ever have any questions about how we're using your donation please don't hesitate to email me directly at Emma@IDVolunteers.org. I would be delighted to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks again for your generosity, and we wish you all the best!
