Thanks so much for providing hot meals for John during floods.
Six year old John lives with his parents, two sisters and younger brother in the Armpac area of Banaba, just outside Manila.
John’s house is partly made from bricks but it's poorly constructed, and dangerously close to a river. Every year there are floods, and John’s house is often inundated.
During floods John and his family have to spend days sleeping on the floor of an evacuation centre. This is a traumatic experience already and it’s made worse as John’s family often have to go hungry as well.
But now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide hot food for John and his family during evacuations.
Hot meals will be available when the next flood comes and forces John and his family to leave their home. Evacuation will never be easy for John, but your generosity means that he and his family won’t go hungry.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of John, his family, and families like them right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that John and his family can enjoy hot meals during floods.
