Funds from this project will help ship much needed school books and school supplies to children in Liberia. The average classroom in Liberia does not have adequate school supplies. Together we can change this. These supplies will boost and support education - providing to the kids the much-needed learning resources. Donated books and school supplies are awaiting shipment in Tennessee and will be delivered in 2-3 months.
Each school supply item on the back-to-school list is an added burden that could prevent a child from either attending school or benefiting in full from school. According to the World Post, nearly half of the world's children born this year will end their school years without the basic skills needed for the global labor market in 2030. Having books and school supplies will help change this.
This project will help to bring economic relief to families by providing free books and school supplies. Funds from this project will cover the cost of shipping drums full of school books and supplies to help educate children.
Underprivileged children will get a decent education - transforming their lives and providing opportunities for growth, and contribution to national development. By upgrading the quality of education offered in schools, we will be helping to transform communities and the entire nation. Investing in child development is critical for human development and we cannot talk about economic growth without talking about healthy and literate communities.
