Hello everyone!
Thank you for your contribution to our project to upgrade our Drop-in Center in Soi 6. The project was funded fast, and we were amazed by that! Thank you for caring and your generous heart!
Today I just wanted to inform you that the work started as planned on Monday the 18th and today we are three days in. You will see the progress that has been made in the pictures below. We have closed the Drop-in Center for this week and hope to get a big chunk of the work out of the way this week, especially the noisy work. So, this week the following has been started: Old aircon units have been removed and they are currently installing the new eco-friendly once in the Hair Salon so that we can open there again on Monday. The new electric cables are getting pulled as we speak. The cable ducts have been installed and the first new cables have been pulled and the old once removed. On the English Class floor, the old tiles have been removed and currently the ground gets prepared for the new tiles. And finally new junction boxes have been installed already on each floor and are waiting for all the new cables. Next Monday a company is coming to spray foam under the roof to seal the small holes that we have there and to insulate it as well.
Our plan is to open the Hair Salon on Monday, English Classes for the girls on Tuesday and then continue floor to by floor with the work in a way that most of our normal work can continue.
The whole process is estimated to take between 8-10 weeks and when it is all done, I will update you here with pictures of the finished work. Thank you again for your help and support!
