Dear Friend,
Ecosystem Restoration Community Chocaya, located in the harsh terrain of the Bolivia Andes, is working with local families and farmers to restore water security through effective water resource management and ecosystem restoration on their degraded lands.
Our recent campaign aimed to raise funds to build 6 new concrete water reservoirs and 6 water infiltration 'lakes' and channels to irrigate 200 agroforestry plots in the dry season and provide drinking water at schools.
We may have raised less than we'd hoped to, but thanks to kind donations like yours we have been able to:
These recent accomplishments have already enabled us to water several agroforestry plots to help secure food security for the local community. And with the new water infiltration lakes, we hope to make the landscape wetter year-round. We are constantly working to find ways to expand our impact at Chocaya, to improve livelihoods and create a healthier ecosystem, for which good water management is essential.
We value your commitment to our work and hope you will continue to support our global initiatives towards a more abundant planet, for all.
We hope you’ll enjoy this video of the team at Chocaya hard at work building the water catchment structures! Please stay tuned for more updates.
Warm regards,
Cristina, Melissa, Menno, and the Ecosystem Restoration Communities team
