We are very glad to be able to help Rafael recover his ability to walk again. Thanks to the generous support of our donors and the efforts we made, Rafael has his prostheses and is able to walk once again.
This microproject was retired before we could achieve our US$1,500 goal, but we didn’t stay still. We did a hard work to fund the rest of the prostheses, the travel costs and the psychological help Rafael needed to recover his mobility with the help of our allies.
The story has a happy ending, Rafael came to Mahavir Kmina Limb Center where we adjusted his new leg to his measures and we could finally install the prostheses he needed so much. Rafael is now selling a lot of candies in his home town and is very happy to be doing things he couldn´t do for almost 20 years.
Thanks to your donations, Rafael’s story is another prove of the great results that collaboration and solidarity can achieve. The world is a better place for now on, not just for him but for his family, for us and for you because we have proven that there is hope.

Rafael camina otra vez y recuperó la esperanza
Estamos muy contentos de poder ayudarle a Rafael a recuperar su capacidad de caminar de nuevo. Gracias al generoso apoyo de nuestros donantes y los esfuerzos que hemos hecho, Rafael tiene sus prótesis y es capaz de caminar una vez más.
Este microproyecto fue retirado antes de que pudiéramos lograr nuestra meta de USD$1.500, sin embargo, nosotros no nos quedamos quietos. Trabajamos duro, con la ayuda de nuestros aliados, para financiar el resto de las prótesis, los gastos de viaje y la ayuda psicológica que Rafael necesitaba para recuperar su movilidad.
La historia tiene un final feliz, Rafael vino a Mahavir Kmina donde le tomamos las medidas y finalmente pudimos instalar la prótesis que necesitaba tanto. Ahora, Rafael vende muchos dulces en su pueblo y es muy feliz de estar haciendo cosas que no podía hacer desde hace casi 20 años.
Gracias a tus donaciones, la historia de Rafael es otra prueba de los grandes resultados que la colaboración y la solidaridad pueden lograr. El mundo es un lugar mejor ahora, no sólo para él sino para su familia, para nosotros y para ustedes, porque hemos comprobado que hay esperanza.
