This project addresses the critical need for continued financial support for the education of vulnerable girls at BASS Children's Home. Each girl has a unique story, often coming from single-parent or divorced families, or extremely impoverished backgrounds. Due to rising expenses and reduced external funding, BASS faces challenges in covering school fees, books, and transportation for these girls, who come from impoverished backgrounds.
By securing crucial funding for school fees, essential textbooks, and bus transportation for 10 girls across grades 1-10, this microproject will directly alleviate the significant financial burden on BASS. This support will ensure these girls have the necessary resources to attend English medium schools regularly, maintain focus on their studies, and avoid any disruption to their education.
The long-term impact includes improved educational outcomes, enhanced dignity and self-esteem for the girls, and their long-term empowerment. By supporting their education, this project helps them pursue higher education, develop marketable skills, and break the cycle of poverty, contributing to community well-being.
