Max and Devon - our two beloved equine friends will be moving to their new home in Ocala at the end of July. While we are sad that Max and Devon will be leaving us - they will never leave our hearts. From weekly lessons to Special Olympics, to volunteer trainings and everything in between, we are deeply grateful for these two amazing horse partners. We ask that you consider a donation to help defray transportation and initial retirement costs to bring Max and Devon to their new home in Ocala.
Max has been a fixture in the barn since 2012. While his large size may be intimidating, he makes up for it with his even bigger heart - always wanting to be where the people are! This gentle giant couldn't ask for a more well-deserved retirement. Devon arrived in 2009 and has always been the "go-to" team member for all programs - he truly is the jack of all trades, master of every single one. Nothing will please him more than to share this next chapter with his best buddy, Max.
EATSF does not own its own horse trailer. Even a five-hour drive to Max and Devon's new home can be expensive for a nonprofit organization. Your donation to their retirement will lessen the cost to transport them to Ocala. Our staff will also be sending Max and Devon to Ocala with at least three weeks of feed, hay, and supplements to help ease their transition in their new home. Your donation will help fund their initial retirement supplies.
While these boys will be enjoying life, EATSF will be looking to replace them and fill their stalls in the barn and our programs. Both have been integral to all programs at the barn - Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy, Unmounted Horsemanship, and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
