Your investment in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs for Dallas area students allowed Junior Achievement of Dallas to inspire and prepare 29 students to succeed in a global economy! Together, we are making sweeping change in the Dallas community by giving students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success. Thank you for giving students this opportunity.
Sabih K., a senior at Richardson High School, has worked with a volunteer in the classroom, been to JA Finance Park and paid it forward as part of JA High School Heroes where he was able to inspire elementary students with the JA program. This year, he was chosen as the 2013 Student of the Year and gave the keynote address at the JA Dallas Business Hall of Fame in front of more than 500 business and community leaders. “I learned a lot about myself and preparing for real life!” Sabih says in his speech. His classroom volunteer, Reuben Pratt, agreed as he sat with Sabih and his family at the event, saying that he could not believe the shy Sabih he first worked with has become such a well-spoken, poised young man.
A student’s transformation from shy to comfortable; from unsure to confident; from high school student to college and career ready young adult…this is the transformation that JA Dallas programs provide. This year, a total of more than 42,000 students worked with 3,450 classroom and JA Finance Park volunteers who will help ignite this transformation in our young people. We could not have done this without your support. Thank you for believing in our youth!
